This course has been created for senior early year’s professionals and explains the key responsibility to ensure our children and young people are protected from harm and abuse. It highlights local and national legislation relating to protecting children and young people.
This course has been devised to recap the different forms of abuse and signs and symptoms of these. It will cover the reporting procedures that must be followed when disclosures are made and to raise awareness of the referral process, child protection assessments and the children hearing system.
Delegates attending this course will learn the legislation relating to child protection and how to use this should a child disclose abuse to any staff member.
You will understand the child protection referral process and how the children hearing system, giving you a greater knowledge of the process that will take place in any child protection case.
